The history-making Miss North Carolina USA, who lost her crown allegedly due to ‘racist’ X posts, is speaking out and has quite a different take on why she was targeted.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, 27-year-old Brittany Boltinhouse of Beulaville won the title of Miss North Carolina USA in Spartanburg, S.C., last month. In the process, she made history as the first person of Honduran descent to win the title.

But then posts from an alleged old account of hers resurfaced, showing her repeatedly using the N-word. In response, the Miss USA Organization announced that Boltinhouse had been stripped of her title.

Chairman Thom Brodeur did specify the posts in a statement announcing the decision, but said Miss USA “does not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, nor language that strips any person of their dignity.”

In an exclusive interview with the Carolina Journal on Friday, she discussed the scandal while noting she is under a confidentiality clause.

“Every teenager has made a mistake — things may have happened decades ago, but I’m here to talk about the hardworking woman standing up there as Miss NC USA that I won fair and square,” she said.

Boltinhouse, though, said she was “glad” it happened to her rather than to another young person and that she was “at peace.”

“I’m very much at peace, and I’m actually glad it happened to me and not some other young lady that, you know, maybe just probably wouldn’t make it through what I’m going through right now,” Boltinhouse said. “The scrutiny, my family is behind it as well.”

“But I will say that I’m very much at peace and I see the light at the end of the tunnel and I know who I am and I know what I can become,” she continued.

Boltinhouse also believes that the N-word posts were just a pathetic excuse for why she lost her title.

The real reason, she argues, is due to her politics and religious beliefs.

“I believe and think I was stripped of my title because of my political stance and my belief system as a conservative Christian woman,” she said.

“I’m proud of my faith. I’m proud of my standards. I’m a proud conservative woman, but a Christian woman. I’m a God-fearing woman,” Boltinhouse added.

Boltinhouse added during the interview that she is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, saying her Mormon faith is an important part of who she is.

Bolitnhouse closed her interview on a gracious note, saying that she forgives the Miss USA Organization and encouraged other women to speak up without fear.

“Hopefully, see me as an example,” she said. “To always stand for what you believe, no matter what, no matter where, no matter what you do.”
