(VIDEO) “Too Bad for the Republican Party” – Trump Blasts John Thune, Suggests He May Support Removal if SAVE Act isn’t Passed: “We’re Going to Find Out”

John Thune speaks to reporters on Capitol Hill during Wednesday press conference

President Trump blasted RINO Senate Majority Leader John Thune again on Wednesday after he suggested there is no path forward on the SAVE America Act or nuking the filibuster.

The President has increased pressure on Thune to get his job done, saying earlier this week that the Democrats “can’t believe how lucky they got” with Thune as Senate Leader. Trump previously lit Thune up during a rally in Georgia last week, demanding, “Everybody call John Thune at the Senate. He’s the leader of the Republican Party. And tell him to get this stuff approved!”

WATCH:

“If somebody can show me how we get an outcome, how we get a result, how we get an answer to this, I’m all for it,” Thune said on Monday in response to the President. “But if we are going to be sitting here in endless quorum calls, I don’t know if that’s in anybody’s best interest.”

During a press conference on Wednesday, Thune again poured cold water on the SAVE Act, telling reporters, “We have to have 50 votes, and at the moment, as I’ve said before, we’re probably not there.”

WATCH:

Trump was asked to respond during an Oval Office press conference, and he blasted Thune. “That’s too bad for him. I mean, that’s too bad for him and too bad for the Republican party,” the President said.

“He’s got the votes. He should get it done. He should be able to get it done.”

Trump was also asked whether he thinks Thune is “still the man for the job” of Senate Leader.

“Well, we’re going to find out, and I’ll let you know,” Trump responded, suggesting he may support Thune’s ousting if he can’t get the SAVE America Act passed.

WATCH:

The Gateway Pundit reported on the ongoing feud between Trump and Thune, with Thune lashing out multiple times over the last week and demanding that the White House do his job for him.

Thune recently revealed that at least 15 GOP Senators are actively working against Trump and refuse to vote to terminate the filibuster.

This comes after he lashed out at White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt last week, saying she should stop “pointing the finger at Republicans” but also get on the phone herself to get the Republican votes.
