Palestinian Journalist Rula Jebreal is under fire after her attack on House minority leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).
During an appearance on lefty commentator Wajahat Ali’s “The Left Hook” podcast, Jebreal complained about Jeffries support of Israel. While describing his association the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), and accusing Jeffries of doing their bidding, she hurled a racial epithet at the Congressman.
“And what does the established Democrat Party, Hakeem Jeffries…..his name is Hakeem. ‘Hakeem’ is Arabic, an Arabic name, which means ‘healer,” she stated.
“He’s not a healer, he’s a divider.”
“He is a bought and paid for AIPAC monkey,” she hurled. “With all due respect and I don’t mean it in a racist way.”
“He is just basically an errand boy, and we’re done and tired.”

Amazing the level of bigotry that is now considered acceptable on the left. pic.twitter.com/bW33cefr4I

Jebreal attempted to downplay her racial attack, but the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) isn’t buying it.
“To be clear, there isn’t a non-racist way to call Leader Jeffries—a Black man—a ‘monkey’ or ‘errand boy,’” they wrote on X.
“@WajahatAli, this is what happens when we hold ourselves to such low standards for what’s allowable in our discourse—people get comfortable being openly bigoted.”
“We have to stop platforming and trafficking in anti-Black racism, whether it’s on the political right or the left.”

This is not the first time Jebreal has used the slur.
In an August 2018 post during the Florida Governor’s race, she wrote, “DeSantis to Florida voters: Don’t “monkey this up” by electing his African American
opponent, Andrew Gillum. Republicans never fail to fall back on disgusting, blatant racist rhetoric, as
opposed to running on issues. Trump will continue race-baiting all the way till November.”
