There is fresh controversy regarding the Minnesota Vikings’ decision to add male cheerleaders to their squad.

The Western Journal reported that Louie Conn and Blaze Shiek are part of the 2025 and 2026 Vikings cheerleading squad. Both men appear repeatedly on the team and team-affiliated Instagram accounts, including in the official lineup photos.

The team’s cheer page also lists them alongside female members without distinction.

Other NFL teams have had men in supporting cheer roles, primarily for stunts and lifts. This recent move goes further.

The organization announced on Instagram, “The next generation of cheer has arrived!”

Now, a new video from the squad shared on social media shows the new male cheerleaders with two of their female colleagues, filmed together in a bathroom.

Vikings female cheerleader Brianna Putney shared the video on TikTok alongside teammate Jenna Kathlyn with Shiek and Conn joining them in the bathroom as the group dances to Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts.”
