The long-awaited federal crackdown on illegal alien crime in Chicago has finally arrived.
On Monday, the DHS tweeted that a federal law enforcement surge was coming to the Windy City, naming it “Operation Midway Blitz.” This operation is in honor of a woman who was killed by an illegal alien in a drunk driving accident back in January.
“DHS is launching Operation Midway Blitz in honor of Katie Abraham, who was killed in a drunk driving hit-and-run car wreck caused by criminal illegal alien Julio Cucul-Bol in Illinois,” the post reads.
The DHS also stated that the operation will “target the criminal illegal aliens who flocked to Chicago and Illinois because they knew Governor Pritzker and his sanctuary policies would protect them and allow them to roam free on American streets.”
“Trump and Secretary Noem stand with the victims of illegal alien crime, while Governor Pritzker stands with criminal illegal aliens,” the post concludes.

As TGP’s Jordan Conradson reported, the Trump Administration has been planning federal law enforcement operations and potential National Guard deployment in the Windy City after at least 14 were killed and nearly 100 injured in shootings over the last two weekends.
It was recently revealed that 200 or more Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials would be deployed in the sanctuary city of Chicago to carry out deportations.
The National Guard may also be deployed as a deterrent to rioters and criminals.
President Trump set the internet ablaze and triggered leftists on Saturday after posting a meme, which portrayed him leading the National Guard in Chicago, describing the scene as “Chipocalypse Now.”
“I love the smell of deportations in the morning… Chicago about to find out why it’s called the Department of WAR,” the meme read.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker responded, claiming that the meme was a legitimate threat to “go to war with an American city.”
