Todd Blanche becomes the Attorney General of the United States.
Blanche was confirmed last night.

WASHINGTON — Mike Davis, founder and president of the Article III Project, issued the following statement after the Senate confirmed Todd Blanche as America’s next Attorney General:
“By voting to confirm Todd Blanche as the 88th Attorney General of the United States, Senate Republicans delivered a major victory for President Trump, the American people, and the rule of law.
“Blanche is the right man, for the right job, at the right moment in American history. His priorities are clear: prosecute illegal aliens, human traffickers, drug traffickers, and dangerous criminals. Blanche will protect the American people and ensure the Justice Department is never weaponized as a partisan sword as happened under Obama and Biden. Today marks the four-year anniversary of Biden’s unprecedented, illegal, and unnecessarily destructive Mar-a-Lago raid on Trump. A3P’s grassroots phone-to-action campaign to confirm Todd Blanche as attorney general garnered 25,000 phone calls, social media posts, and emails from more than 6,000 unique participants.
The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times.

Davis previously served as Chief Counsel for Nominations to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and led the Senate confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a record number of circuit court judges.
The left claimed not to like Blanche. In July, 1,200 DOJ attorneys signed a letter against his being confirmed.

There are many concerns from the right about Blanche. For example, per the Conservative Treehouse, Chad Mizelle has quite a story working deep inside the Deep State.
I have continued to point out that Chad Mizelle was Rod Rosenstein’s chief legal counsel during the first term of President Trump. As Rosenstein’s legal counsel, it was Chad Mizelle who literally wrote the “scope memos” that authorized the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate President Trump.
Mizelle also wrote the expanded scope memos for Mueller and Andrew Weissmann that permitted the targeting of Michael Flynn Jr, Michael Flynn, George Papadopolous, Paul Manafort and more. Chad Mizelle would have intimate knowledge of Rosenstein’s intent to hire Robert Mueller, before, during and after the Special Counsel was appointed.
Because of everything above, Chad Mizelle was always looked at with strong suspicion. There is no way to intellectually reconcile Chad Mizelle as a good faith actor knowing the intents and purposes of Robert Mueller. It just didn’t make sense.
Yet, when Mizelle left the DOJ, Blanche praised him:

Maybe this is no big deal. I guess we will see. But for a year and a half, no major criminals who acted against the law and against the American people have been brought to justice. Blanche has been in the DOJ most of this time.
