The White Lotus Season 3 features breakout star Aimee Lou Wood as the eternal optimist and hopeless romantic Chelsea. What else has Wood appeared in before?

Written and directed by Mike White, each season of the hit Emmy Award-winning dark satire takes place at one of the White Lotus resorts in the luxury getaway chain worldwide. The White Lotus Season 3 is set in Thailand, where among the guests on a weeklong stay at the resort are Chelsea and her much older boyfriend Rick (Walton Goggins).

The age difference between the two is part of the duo’s dynamic during the season, as is the distance Rick is keeping from Chelsea over a dark secret he’s harboring about his past.

At the center of The White Lotus Season 3 — like the first two years of the anthology series — is the murder of one of the characters in the ensemble and the twisty events leading up to it. The answer will be revealed soon, though, since the penultimate episode of Season 3 is Sunday and thes season finale is set for April 6.

Woods’ career dates back to 2017 in a pair of short films and since 2020, she’s largely appeared in U.K. films and television production. The White Lotus Season 3 marks Wood’s first big U.S. production.

Still, since several of Wood’s big U.K. productions are streaming in the U.S., she will no doubt look familiar to viewers stateside.

‘Sex Education’ (2019-2023)

A British coming-of-age comedy-drama, Sex Education ran for four seasons on Netflix. Gillian Anderson and Asa Butterfield head up the large ensemble cast in Sex Education, which also includes Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Chris Jenks, Alistair Petrie and Mimi Keene.

Aimee Lou Wood stars as Aimee Gibbs in Sex Education, who is best friends with Mackey’s character Maeve Wiley.

Wood won a British Academy of Film and Television Arts TV Award for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Program in 2021, and was nominated again for the BAFTA TV category in 2022. In 2023, Wood was nominated for the BAFTA EE Rising Star Award.

‘The Electric Life Of Louis Wain’ (2021)

Aimee Lou Wood stars as Claire Wain, one of five sisters under the care of Benedict Cumberbatch’s title character in The Electrical Life of Louis Wain.

A biographical drama about Louis Wain, a true-life London artist who became famous for his drawings and paintings of cats. The period film, which begins in the 1880s, is a British production that became a Prime Video release.

Cumberbatch and Wood’s castmates in The Electrical Life of Louis Wain include Claire Foy, Andrea Riseborough, Taika Waititi, Stacy Martin and Toby Jones.

‘Living’ (2022)

Aimee Lou Wood starred opposite Bill Nighy in the acclaimed 2022 drama Living, about Rodney Williams, a bureaucrat in 1950s London who seeks to find meaning in life after a terminal cancer diagnosis.

Wood stars as Margaret Harris, a former subordinate of Rodney who brings positivity to his life despite his grim diagnosis.

Living not only earned Nighy several Best Actor nominations— including nods from the Oscars, SAG Awards and the British Film and Television Arts Awards, it earned Wood a Best Supporting Performance nomination from the British Independent Film Awards.

‘Alice & Jack’ (2024)

In addition to roles in the British comedy movie Seize Them! and comedy series Daddy Issues, Aimee Lou’s busy year in 2024 included a supporting role opposite Andrea Riseborough and Dohmnall Gleeson, who play the title characters in Alice & Jack.

A six-part miniseries produced in the U.K. and distributed in the U.S. by PBS Masterpiece, the series follows the romantic relationship over the course of 15 years between Alice and Jack. Wood stars in the supporting role of Maya, who is Alice’s assistant and best friend.

‘Toxic Town’ (2025)

Aimee Lou Wood stars as one of three mothers seeking justice in a toxic waste case in Toxic Town, which is based on a true story.

Toxic Town is a British-produced Netflix original series created by Jack Thorne, wbo co-created the hit Netflix series Adolescence with actor-producer Stephen Graham. In addition to Wood, Toxic Town also stars Jodie Whitaker, Robert Carlyle, Rory Kinnear, Brendan Coyle and Claudia Jessie.

The first six episodes of The White Lotus Season 3 are streaming on Max and Episode 7 premieres on Sunday.
