Season 23 of American Idol will be crowning a winner soon, and there’s just one more episode before the finale on Sunday, May 15. The singing competition continues on Monday, May 12, with its second Disney Night. Learn what time to tune in and more details about the episode.

During Sunday’s (May 11) episode, fans watched as the Top 7 contestants performed songs for Mother’s Day, along with hits from Disney and Pixar. They received support from Oscar-nominated songwriter and Broadway legend Lin-Manuel Miranda, who will continue as the show’s mentor for Monday’s episode.

Unfortunately, 15-year-old Mattie Pruitt and 23-year-old Gabby Samone were eliminated last night after they didn’t receive enough votes from the public to make it into the Top 5. “This has been a dream come true,” Pruitt said to fans. “And it’s just the beginning.”

After the show, Samone took to Instagram to thank everyone for the “love and support” she received this season. “This was an amazing experience!! THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!!” she teased.

The five lucky contestants advancing in this season of American Idol are 29-year-old Thunderstorm Artis, 18-year-old John Foster, 25-year-old Breanna Nix, 27-year-old Jamal Roberts, and 18-year-old Slater Nalley. Unfortunately, they won’t all be safe for long. Tonight, two more contestants will be eliminated, and viewers will need to vote for the Top 3 they want to see in the grand finale.
