President Donald Trump signs an executive order at the White House addressing drug addiction on Thursday, January 29.
Last year the president designated drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, leading to military strikes against drug smugglers.
Earlier this month it was announced drug overdose deaths plummeted in the first year of Trump’s second administration.
