The FBI on Thursday morning arrested an Orange County, California, woman for stealing more than $400,000 from a high school football team.
56-year-old Julie Hanway Molina was the treasurer of an Orange County nonprofit and allegedly used more than $400,000 in stolen funds to pay off her mortgage and credit card debt.
Video posted to social media by the California Post shows FBI agents and local law enforcement surrounding Molina’s $1.4 million Aliso Viejo home early Thursday morning and taking her into custody.

The California Post reported that Julie Hanway Molina was stunned as federal agents used a bullhorn and demanded she “come out with your hands up.”
Molina walked out of her front door and looked shocked as federal agents handcuffed her.
Federal prosecutors alleged in the indictment that the scheme to defraud Aliso Niguel High School’s Wolverine Football Club began in 2023 and went through 2025.
Julie Hanway Molina stole $411,761.54 and concealed the theft by submitting false reports to board members.
She was charged with four counts of wire fraud
Molina faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

A 56-year-old woman was arrested Thursday after being charged in a federal indictment with defrauding a non-profit set up to assist a high school football team, authorities said.
Julie Hanway Molina was arrested at her home and was expected to make an initial court appearance in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana on Thursday to face four counts of wire fraud.
According to federal prosecutors, Molina allegedly served as the organization’s treasurer and used more than $400,000 of its funds to pay off her delinquent home mortgage.
A federal grand jury returned an indictment on September 2 charging Molina with executing a scheme to defraud the nonprofit organization between 2023 and November of 2025 by diverting funds from the group’s bank account for use on her own personal expenses, including the mortgage and credit card bills.
Molina was treasurer of an Aliso Niguel High School football team support organization.

Julie Hanway Molina, 56, of Aliso Viejo, was arrested today on a federal indictment charging her with defrauding a nonprofit that supports an Orange County high school football team out of approximately $411,761.
Molina, the organization’s former treasurer, is accused of diverting money from the non-profit’s bank account to pay her mortgage, credit card bills, and other personal expenses. She allegedly concealed the payments by sending false treasurer reports to the nonprofit’s board.
Molina is charged with four counts of wire fraud. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in federal prison on each count.
