An unwelcome newcomer in the Med.

As the Mediterranean sea gets warmer and more saline, a species of puffer fish is growing bigger and expanding further, bringing danger to fishing industries and beach swimmers alike.

With its toxic flesh and bone-crushing jaws, the invasive species is expanding its range throughout the Mediterranean.

In some places, it’s causing local authorities to issue warnings to tourists about the risk of dangerous bites.
