OUTRAGE: WNBA Store Blocks “Jesus Christ” on Custom Jersey — While “Muhammad” and “Allahu Akbar” Clear Initial Filter

The leftist WNBA and its official store just delivered another gut punch to traditional America.

The official WNBA Store appears to have some explaining to do after its customization system rejected the name “Jesus Christ” and the phrase “Jesus is God” while allowing Islamic names and phrases to pass through its initial screening filter.

The apparent double standard exploded across social media after Libs of TikTok tested the WNBA’s online custom-jersey system.

“The WNBA store BANS you from customizing a jersey with the name ‘Jesus Christ,’” Libs of TikTok reported, adding that the system did not immediately reject “Muhammad” or “Allahu Akbar.”

And the results were not difficult to reproduce.

The Gateway Pundit conducted a live test on Tuesday on an official WNBA Store Chicago Sky custom jersey, which produced the same disturbing discrepancy.

When “Jesus Christ” was entered into the jersey’s name field, the store immediately displayed the following warning:

“We are unable to customize this item with the text you have entered. Please try a different entry.”

But when “Muhammad” was entered, no comparable warning appeared.

“Allahu Akbar” also cleared the initial name filter without triggering the rejection message.

The same tool cheerfully accepts “Praise Allah,” “Bow to Islam,” “Hate Jesus,” and even “Hate Whites.

WOW

The WNBA store BANS you from customizing a jersey with the name “Jesus Christ,” but ALLOWS you to make a jersey with names like “Muhammad” and “Allahu Akbar”

Any comment @WNBA? pic.twitter.com/exXjweC0k5

In other words, the full name of Jesus Christ was stopped immediately, while the Islamic phrase “Allahu Akbar,” Arabic for “God is greatest,” passed the same initial screening system.

However, the filter did not immediately reject “Jesus” or “Christ” when each was tested separately. That suggests the system may be programmed to target the specific Christian word combination.

The WNBA Store is operated through Fanatics, the same retailer that runs customization for multiple leagues. Fanatics publicly states it rejects “slang, phrases or profanity.”

So you can get “Praise Allah,” “Hate Jesus,” “bow to Islam” and “hate whites” on a WNBA jersey from the store but not “Jesus is God” or “Jesus Christ”…

The controversy comes as the WNBA is already facing mounting accusations that it selectively silences viewpoints that conflict with the league’s increasingly radical political culture.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Alliance Defending Freedom recently warned WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert about potential legal liability after fans supporting women’s sports were allegedly intimidated and ordered to conceal their shirts.

In Seattle, teenage girls carrying signs thanking Sophie Cunningham for defending female athletes were reportedly berated by a Seattle Storm co-owner.

At another game in Atlanta, a mother and her 17-year-old daughter were ordered to cover their XX-XY Athletics shirts or leave the arena. The WNBA later admitted, “This should not have happened.”

“The WNBA should stand up for women and free expression, not sacrifice them out of fear,” ADF warned.

Then, as The Gateway Pundit reported Monday, former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom was escorted from an Indiana Fever–Chicago Sky game following a heated confrontation while wearing a shirt defining a woman as an “adult human female.”

Now the league’s official storefront is blocking “Jesus Christ” while other religious expressions pass its initial filter.
