The sports community showed a widespread outpouring of support and tributes to the brave political commentator.
The New York Yankees held a moment of silence Wednesday evening for Kirk, before their matchup with the Detroit Tigers.
In tribute to Kirk, Yankee Stadium displayed a picture of the late activist, whose death continues to be deeply mourned.
The Yankees’ social media account on X shared the following tribute:
“Before tonight’s game we held a moment of silence in memoriam of Charlie Kirk. Kirk founded the youth activist group “Turning Point USA” and had become a fixture on college campuses. Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old.”
