An ICE agent shot and wounded a Venezuelan illegal alien during a confrontation in the 7000 block of West Anderson Lane in North Austin on Sunday afternoon.
The wounded illegal was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
According to reports, an ICE SUV rammed into the illegal alien’s blue Toyota Corolla when he tried to drive away.
An ICE agent got out of his vehicle and shot the illegal as he tried to flee.
Austin officials held a presser conference after the officer-involved shooting.
Democrat Austin Mayor Kirk Watson attacked federal agents during the presser.
Chaos erupted as a crowd formed and leftist protestors confronted police.

A man is injured after being shot by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in North Austin on Sunday.
According to three state and local officials, the shooting happened in the 7000 block of West Anderson Lane, near the intersection of Research Boulevard and Anderson Square.
The man was taken to a local hospital.
A large law enforcement responded to the scene, including several Texas Department of Public Safety officials.
Austin City Council members were told Austin police officers were not involved in the shooting and APD did not have details about what led to it, according to KVUE’s media partners at the Austin American-Statesman. The city is expected to provide more details in a media briefing around 4 p.m.
A blue Toyota Corolla at the scene had damage to its passenger-side door and bullet holes.
Democrats are already attacking ICE.
Democrat Congressman Greg Casar attacked the federal agent and said “horror” had come to Austin.
The horror has come to our city: ICE has shot a person in Austin this morning.
As the facts emerge, I am demanding a full, independent investigation, immediate release of the body camera footage, and accountability for any ICE officer who broke the law.
