Why President Ibrahim Traoré’s “Resource Nationalism” Terrifies The West explains that President Ibrahaim Traoré became president of Burkina Faso, the tiny nation in the Sahel just south of the Sahara Desert in Africa, in September 2022. At 37, Traoré is the second youngest president in the world — with a strong appeal for Africa’s young population used to much older leaders.
Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger severed ties with ECOWAS which many young Africans believe represents Western interests. In September 2023, they created the Alliance Etats Sahel (AES) aka “Alliance Sahel or “Sahel Confederation” The AES created a passport to allow member nations to travel freely within the “Alliance Sahel. This greatly facilitates trade. AES Uncovered: FULL DOCUMENTARY of Africa’s MOST FEARED Alliance 20 Months After. In June, Burkina Faso dropped VISA requirements for all African nations.
Chad joined the AES in May. The AES is a role model inspiring a growing number of African nations – including Botswana, Gabon, Senegal, Tanzania, and Togo. President Traoré Helped Ghana Triple Its Gold Profits to $3 billion 4 Months.
Morocco and the Alliance of Sahel States Countries: Towards a Common Area of Shared Prosperity? and Atlantic Ocean Access, Royal Initiative Promotes Structural Transformation of Sahel Economies explain that the Mauritania ports now provide the landlocked AES states access to the Atlantic Ocean. This allows them to trade with Europe and the Americas more easily and inexpensively than by using the ports to their south which are controlled by nations still allied with France.
President Traoré and 7 African presidents created The African Development Bank, West African Monetary Union with a currency backed by gold and oil which replaces the French franc. Traore released the Burkina Digital Gold app so people can manage their money on their cellphones!
Africa Just Launched ‘One Africa Currency’ | No Borders, The West Is SHOOK! shows that the AES model of Pan Africanism is spreading rapidly now.
Africa’s Growing “Resource Nationalism”
Why Ibrahim Traoré Is Becoming a Legend Across Africa and The Captain Who Shook Empires! Why Ibrahim Traoré Is Africa’s Most Feared And Admired Leader explain that President Traoré is revolutionizing Africa and changing the global order through his “resource nationalism”.
The West depicts Africa as poor and in need of aid. However, President Traoré reminds the West that Africa is rich in resources on which the West depends. These include aluminum clay (rich in the Rare Earth Minerals uranium, cobalt, lithium), bauxite, beryllium, cashews, cattle, chrome, chromite, cocoa (for chocolate) coffee, cotton, diamonds, diatomite, feldspar, fish. graphite, gold, iron ore, ivory, kainite, lead, lentils, limestone, livestock, lumber, maize, manganese, mangoes, marble, oil, palm oil, phosphate (for fertilizers), kyanite, platinum, rice, rubber, salt, sand, silver, tantalum, tea, titanium, tomatoes, uranium, vermiculite, yams, wine, and zinc. Cell phones and EVs rely on resources from Africa.
Under colonialism and neo-colonialism, Africa sold its vast resources cheaply as raw materials. Europe processed those and sold Africa the expensive finished products. The video below explains that a growing number of African nations are now adopting Traoré’s policy of “Resource Nationalism” which allows Africa to derive much greater profit from its resources by selling finished products rather than raw materials. This is causing a global power shift since the West is dependent on so many of Africa’s resources.
President Traoré’s policies and projects are inspiring other African nations to follow his example. This is causing a seismic shift in global power as we watch the end of neo-colonialism that enriched the West at Africa’s expense.
What they dont want you to know about Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger To Become One Federation!
Burkina Faso, Mali And Niger To Merge into One Country. Ibrahim Traore The President
When the European nations carved up Africa at the Berlin Conference in 1884-1885, they did so without regard for cultures or languages. Even families were split! That has caused a great deal of conflict. So, the Sahel nations of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger are redrawing those borders for themselves. They decided to merge to create one nation called “The Sahel Federation” since the people of these three nations share languages, religions, customs, and ancestral ties.
The integration has major economic implications. The new country will control vast reserves of gold, lithium, uranium, manganese, manganese, and agricultural land. By using a single currency backed by gold and free of the French franc, the new nation will gain monetary sovereignty. Militarily, this federation marks the end of foreign domination in the region. Now these countries are taking control of their own security.
The new nation will have one educational system, one media ecosystem, and one national story. If successful, this merger could trigger similar moves in central Africa, southern Africa, and even the Horn of Africa. Africa is redefining itself now.
In a historic move, Sahel states are uniting under a single leadership to strengthen regional cooperation, security, and economic development. 6/5/25
The West Depends on Africa
Western Economies Collapsing as 10 African Nations Ban Raw Exports! 11/5/24
Western economies have thrived on the assumption that Africa will continue supplying cheap raw materials to fuel their industries. Oil, gold, uranium, lithium, and other resources from Africa have powered everything from technology to transportation in Europe and North America. Now, however, Africa is reasserting control over its resources. Ten African countries have imposed strict regulations on the export of these raw materials, retaining value domestically and driving local economic growth.
This shift is shaking global markets, forcing Western countries to reckon with a reality they hadn’t anticipated: Africa will no longer function merely as a supplier for the world. This move is more than an economic policy; it is a significant assertion of Africa’s sovereignty. By deciding how, when, and to whom they export their resources, these nations are challenging a system that has long kept them disadvantaged.
Historically, African resources were extracted and exported cheaply, processed elsewhere, and then sold back to African countries at a premium. This cycle has prevented Africa from benefiting fully from its wealth, making it difficult for these nations to develop robust, self-sustaining economies. The new export restrictions signal a profound shift in how African leaders view their role in the global market.

Traore’s Shocking Move CRUMBLES Europe’s $130B Chocolate Empire 6/11/25
What happens when a $130 billion chocolate empire trembles… because one African president dares to ask: “Why have we never tasted what we grow?” Ibrahim Traoré just entered Côte d’Ivoire — not with weapons, but with a vision. In the land that produces nearly 40% of the world’s cocoa, farmers live on less than $2 a day. While Europe brands, certifies, and profits — Africa harvests and forgets.
But now, the narrative is changing. This video unveils a powerful revolution: one that melts softly but strikes deep. From cocoa fields in Daloa and San Pedro to secret boardrooms in Brussels, a battle is unfolding — not for land, but for value, dignity, and control. Stay to the end — because what they called a bean… is becoming a banner.

The Significance of the Protests
These demonstrations were more than mere expressions of support for a political leader; they represented a collective yearning for African self-determination and a rejection of neocolonial influence. The widespread participation of African youth in these protests signaled a generational shift towards a more assertive and united Africa.
The lack of coverage by mainstream Western media outlets of these significant events raises questions about the narratives that dominate global discourse. The failure to report on such widespread and coordinated demonstrations reflects a broader pattern of marginalizing African voices and perspectives in international media.

April 30th Protests: How Ibrahim Traoré Became a Symbol of African Liberation
Revolutionary Architect of The 21st Century
Ibrahim Traore and the Fight for Africa’s Future | Shahid Bolsen 4/28/25
In this powerful talk, Shahid Bolsen dismantles the myth that Africa’s great leaders — like Sankara, Lumumba, and Nkrumah — were “ahead of their time.” They weren’t ahead of their time — time itself was held back by the West.
Bolsen explains how the West systematically crushed Africa’s forward movement, froze the continent in exploitation, and assassinated not just leaders, but entire futures. He draws a direct line from the historic struggle to today’s young lions — with special emphasis on President Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso, whom he calls the most important Muslim leader in the world today. This is not just history — this is the frontline of the global fight for liberation, justice, and sovereignty.
Partial Transcript
“They had the relative power to steal Africa’s future by prolonging its past by force. As I talked about many times, the West’s relative power is receding. That old wolf still has fangs, but the Global South is raising some young lions of their own today. They’re reviving the spirit of Lumumba, Sankara, Nkrumah, Lumumba. Africa is being pride.
Yes, of course, I’m talking about Ibrahim Traore in Berlin’s Faso. All the leaders in the Sahel Alliance countries obviously, but especially Ibrahim Traore. It is often only in retrospect that we recognize the magnitude of a figure who shifts the course of history, who shifts the course of events in the world. But if anyone’s paying attention, you can see that Ibrahim Traore is clearly one of the most consequential leaders not just in Africa, not just in the Muslim world, but in the entire Global South —and in fact in the world.
I said on X the other day that Ibrahim Traore is the most important Muslim leader in the world today — more than anyone else — because of what he represents…. He’s not merely the head of state. He’s the revolutionary architect of the 21st century….He represents a paradigmatic shift that the whole world needs….It ‘s a struggle for decentralization. That’s what multipolarity is.
We should all do all we can to protect Ibrahim Traore because this is a matter of self defense. Ibrahim Traore isn’t simply a political figure. He’s a turning point.”
