The median home sold for $239,062, an analysis of data from Realtor.com shows. That means January, the most recent month for which figures are available, was up 7.1% from December.
Compared to January 2024, the median home sales price was up 14.8% compared to $208,247.
Realtor.com sources sales data from real estate deeds, resulting in a few months’ delay in the data. The statistics don’t include homes currently listed for sale and aren’t directly comparable to listings data.

Looking only at single-family homes, the $238,480 median selling price in Lubbock County was up 8.7% in January from $219,314 the month prior. Since January 2024, the sales price of single-family homes was up 13.9% from a median of $209,371.No single-family homes sold for $1 million or more during the month.

Condominiums and townhomes decreased by 64.6% in sales price during January to a median of $287,000 from $811,006 in December. Compared to January 2024, the sales price of condominiums and townhomes was up 45.8% from $196,875. Three condominiums or townhomes sold for $1 million or more during the month, compared to zero recorded transactions of at least $1 million in January 2024.

In January, the number of recorded sales in Lubbock County dropped by 8.7% since January 2024 — from 520 to 475. All residential home sales totaled $73.3 million.
Across Texas, homes sold at a median of $315,099 during January, down 2.3% from $322,524 in December. There were 31,022 recorded sales across the state during January, down 16.5% from 37,152 recorded sales in January 2024.
