GOP strategist Brad Todd schooled CNN host Kate Bolduan during a discussion of the errors that occurred in the 2020 census that were clearly detrimental to red states.
On Thursday, The Gateway Pundit reported that President Trump sent the left, and their minions in the legacy media, into a triggered frenzy during an announcement about a new census.
Trump announced that he had ordered the Department of Commerce to “immediately” start working on a new census that would exclude illegal aliens from being counted. Only legal residents would be included.
The President said on Truth Social, “I have instructed our Department of Commerce to immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate CENSUS based on modern day facts and figures and, importantly, using the results and information gained from the Presidential Election of 2024,” Trump wrote.
“People who are in our Country illegally WILL NOT BE COUNTED IN THE CENSUS.”
Predictably, leftists are crying foul while, at the same time, refusing to cover the realities of what happened to red states in 2020. Todd, however, would not let CNN get away with trying to ignore the reality.
Kate Bolduan: One of the biggest things is it helps decide Congressional maps. Does this have everything to do with redistricting?
Brad Todd: It does. In fact, we know the 2020 census, the errors were almost always to the detriment of red states. Blue states like Rhode Island…
Kate Bolduan: Do we know that?
Brad Todd: We do know that. The Census Bureau’s own audit of its work has proven that blue states like Rhode Island were over counted. Rhode Island didn’t lose a seat. Red states like Alabama were undercounted.
This is just a fact. It wasn’t all red-blue, but it was disproportionately red-blue.
