“Follow The Money”: Pressing Lawmakers On Todd Blanche’s Difficult Confirmation Process – Senate Democrats Continue To Be Useless – EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Todd Blanche completed a difficult step in his confirmation process to become the next Attorney General, as the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance his nomination the other day. The committee voted along party lines.

Blanche now needs to be confirmed by the Senate at-large. He needs at least a simple majority of 51 votes and can only afford to lose three GOP Senators. All 47 Senate Democrats are expected to vote against the final confirmation.

Vice President JD Vance would cast a tiebreaker vote if needed.

Senator Mitch McConnell, R-KY, has been missing for over 50 days after being hospitalized and Senator Susan Collins, R-ME, confirmed she will not vote to confirm Blanche.

Senators John Cornyn, R-TX, and Thom Tillis, R-NC, long opposed advancing Blanche’s advance from committee and President Trump even considered postponing the confirmation process until next year, when both Cornyn and Tillis leave the Senate.

Tillis decided to retire this year and Cornyn lost his primary to Trump-backed Ken Paxton.

President Trump was able to reach a deal with Cornyn to scrap the $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund for J6ers that were mistreated by the President Biden’s DOJ in exchange for Cornyn’s vote to advance. As Cornyn changed his vote, Tillis followed suit.

The final confirmation vote has not been scheduled yet and could be delayed for weeks as August Recess looms.

President Trump is trying to get August Recess canceled so the vote could be scheduled this week.

The Gateway Pundit spoke to lawmakers about this difficult confirmation process and what they want to see Blanche do if he becomes the next Attorney General.

Senator Mazie Hirono, D-HI, expressed that she does not want Blanche to be confirmed to begin with.

“I don’t want him to serve at all. He is just as corrupt as the president. In fact, he’s gonna continue to help the president in his lawlessness,” Hirono told TGP in an exclusive interview.

“We have a president who doesn’t think that the rule of law applies to him. the Republicans on the committee just voted. This is awesomely horrifying. Just voted to have a guy become attorney general who’s gonna help the president continue to break the law.”

Senator @maziehirono does not want Todd Blanche to be confirmed as the next Attorney General because he will “help the president (@realDonaldTrump) continue to break the law.”

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, D-NV, also does not want Blanche to be confirmed, but expressed that she wants Blanche to “represent the American public and not Donald Trump.”

“I wouldn’t like to see him do anything. I would like him to actually utilize and recognize that as the attorney general for the state or for the for the federal government, that he represents the taxpayers, and he represents the American public and not Donald Trump,” Cortez Masto told TGP in an exclusive interview.

A common theme with Senate Democrats is that they don’t want President Trump’s nominees to be confirmed to their respective positions.

The catch is that once they are confirmed, you can’t really do much about it, so then wouldn’t you want them to do their jobs the best way they possibly can?

Republicans seem to have a different mindset.

Senator Cornyn, the fiercest opponent of the nomination on the Republican side, was relieved that he was able to negotiate a deal with the anti-weaponization fund and President Trump’s $10 billion lawsuit with the IRS.

“Well, I think I think the acting attorney general, now the nominee and who will be voted to the floor was worked in good faith with us to try to narrow the settlement agreement and the understanding about the weaponization fund,” Cornyn told TGP.

“I think we did the best we could, given the circumstances, to narrow that, and I think lessen the likelihood that parties, people who weren’t parties could benefit from that and make sure that the audit protection was retroactive only and could not be applied to other individuals.”

Senator Ted Cruz, R-TX, urged Blanche to “follow the money” and “cut down the people that are tearing our country apart” if he we’re to be confirmed.

“I’d like to see him follow the money behind the people that are funding the anti-America protests, the anti-Semitic protests, Follow the money and cut down the people that are tearing our country apart,” Cruz told TGP in an exclusive interview.

Senator Roger Marshall, R-KS, wants Blanche to to establish a special council to investigate Dr. Anthony Fauci for his role in the COVID-19 “plandemic.”

“I’d like to see him some type of a council to going forward and investigate Anthony Fauci, a special counsel of some sort. That would be one of my top priority,” Marshall told TGP in an exclusive interview.

Just last week Facui testified in an explosive Senate Homeland Security Committee Hearing, as lawmakers attempted to get answers out of Facui for his role in the pandemic.

Fauci refused to give an edge and pleaded the fifth 111 times.

Epstein survivor, Dani Bensky spoke to reporters about Blanche’s advancement from committee, saying that Blanche’s confirmation would have a “chilling effect on survivors across the country.”

Bensky told TGP and others that there is “still hope” that the Senate will “do the right thing” and block Blanche’s confirmation.

Bensky then expressed disappointment for Cornyn’s vote to advance Blanche’s nomination.

“There’s always a glimmer of hope that somebody will do the right thing and I was really hoping that it would be John Cornyn, to be honest, because he has been such a great advocate and proponent for putting those who have abused and for sex trafficking rings away. And so to see that this is how he’s gonna end his career and his legacy, it’s really depressing,” Bensky told TGP.

Blanche has faced one of the most difficult confirmation processes in President Trump’s second term and it still remains uncertain if he will become the next Attorney General.

Despite heavy opposition, he has made it to the final step, with 49 Senators are either unable to vote for him or refuse to do so. He can only afford to lose one more vote.

Will Blanche be confirmed or will this difficult process have been all for nothing?
