J.D. Vance speaking with Jim Hoft

Vice-President J.D. Vance has said he hopes that Elon Musk will return to the MAGA movement by the midterms.

In an exclusive interview with The Gateway Pundit founder and editor-in-chief Jim Hoft, Vance weighed in on Elon Musk’s recent break with the White House and the possibility that he may reconcile with President Trump and the wider MAGA movement.

“He’s obviously got a complicated relationship right now with with the Trump White House,” Vance said.

“My argument to Elon is like, you’re not going to be on the left, right? Even if you wanted to be. And he doesn’t.”

“They’re not going to have you back. That ship has sailed. And so I really think it’s a mistake for him to try to break from the president.”

“So my hope is that by the time of the midterms, he’s kind of come back into the fold.”

“If you’re patriotic, you’re not trying to stick your knife in the back of the president, you’re not trying to betray the movement, I don’t care about these minor little disagreements and issues.”

Having helped bankroll and provided support to his presidential campaign, Musk inexplicably turned on the president over the passing of the “Big, Beautiful Bill,” which he argued would only worsen America’s ballooning national debt.

Since its passing, Musk has said he plans on starting his own political party, although this increasingly appears to have been an empty threat.

Last month, it emerged that while Musk had talked extenesively about launching the ‘America Party’ he had not filed any of the formal paperwork necessary for its registration.
