Actor Mark Ruffalo, a longtime Marvel superhero movie star, didn’t mince words warning that Disney’s stock could nosedive after the company suspended Jimmy Kimmel following his fallacious comments calling Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer part of “the MAGA gang.”

“It’s going to go down a lot further if they cancel his show. Disney does not want to be the ones that broke America,” Mark Ruffalo said in a Threads post, responding to an article which falsely claimed Disney’s stock had dropped 7 percent in the hours after ABC pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air.

Jimmy Kimmel responded to Ruffalo, saying “You’re always on the correct side of history, Mark! Thank you for speaking up!!”

Indeed, scores of celebrities and social media users have pushed a sweeping campaign to boycott myriad Disney properties after the Bob Iger-run multinational pre-empted Live last Wednesday.

The boycott campaign kicked off after ABC broadcast affiliates Nexstar and Sinclair removed Jimmy Kimmel Live from their stations. The companies pulled Kimmel after he used his Monday night monologue to mock President Donald Trump’s mourning of the assassination of Charlie Kirk and spread disinformation about his accused killer, calling him part of “the MAGA gang.”
