A shelter-in-place is currently in effect outside an apartment complex near the San Francisco Bay Area amid an active shooter situation.
At least one person has been injured. The shooter is still at large.
Per the Novato Police Department: 11:35AM UPDATE: Novato Police, in coordination with the Marin County Sheriff’s Office and Marin CHP are investigating a shooting that took place in 400 block of Alameda del Prado.
A large presence of emergency vehicles and personnel will be in the area searching for suspects involved.

A shelter-in-place order was issued in Novato after a shooting injured at least one person Tuesday morning, police said.
Police are asking residents on Calle Arboleda and Alameda del Prado to remain inside until the investigation is complete.
Police confirmed to ABC7 Eyewitness News that at least one person was injured, but it was not immediately clear who was hurt or whether the gunman had been apprehended.
The scene appears to be outside an apartment complex.
