Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley is not planning to address supporters before the Wisconsin Democratic governor’s primary is called, his campaign told POLITICO early Wednesday morning.
“We’re still waiting for all the results to come in. We feel optimistic, but it’s not over until the votes are counted,” spokesperson Eddie Vale said.
Crowley is locked in a razor-thin race with democratic socialist Francesca Hong. The margin was unexpected: Hong had been leading by double digits in public polls. But Crowley made a late push to paint Hong as unelectable in the general election against Republican Rep. Tom Tiffany.
