Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket exploded during a preflight static fire test on a launchpad in Cape Canaveral, Florida on Thursday.

Jeff Bezos’ company said “an anomaly” occurred and that all personnel were safe.

Footage from a live stream shows the rocket erupting into a massive fireball.

The aerospace company was preparing for the fourth launch of its heavy-lift rocket, which features a reusable first-stage booster.

According to CBS News, the mission, tentatively scheduled for next month, was intended to launch 48 satellites for Amazon’s Leo internet service. The satellites were not aboard the rocket at the time of the incident.
