The bloodthirsty Islamic regime in Iran has once again shown the world exactly what Sharia justice looks like.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has reportedly executed a 24-year-old woman after rejecting her claim that she acted in self-defense during an attempted sexual assault.

At dawn on August 8, 2026, the mullahs hanged 24-year-old Marziyeh Neyri (also reported as Marzieh Nayyeri/Nayeri) at Qazvin Central Prison, also known as Choobindar or Chubindar Prison, according to reports from the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights and the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran.

She was executed for “premeditated murder” under qisas retribution laws after the court rejected her claim of self-defense.

This young woman never had a chance.

Six years earlier, when she was just 17, her family forced her into marriage with a man named Davoud. She had no interest in the union. Under the Islamic Republic’s laws, that is perfectly legal. Child marriage is not a bug in the system, it is a feature.

Davoud and his associates regularly drank and used drugs in the home. According to human rights monitors including Iran Human Rights, Hengaw, and HRANA, when Marziyeh was 18, her husband’s business partner Alireza attempted to sexually assault her in her own home, after the men had been drinking, and in the presence of her husband.

She grabbed a kitchen knife and fought back. She wounded the attacker. Her husband died in the struggle.

Marziyeh told the court under oath that she had faced repeated threats and attempted assaults by her husband’s associates before that day. She said she acted only to defend her dignity and her life.

The surviving attacker took the stand, denied her account, and painted her as a murderer. The court believed him. Her self-defense claim was rejected. No clemency. No mercy. The sentence was carried out.

WNCRI.org reported:

According to data recorded by the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, at least 348 women have been executed in Iran since 2007.

Many of the women executed by the Iranian regime are themselves victims of domestic violence and discriminatory family laws. A significant number have acted in self-defense.

Since Masoud Pezeshkian took office, the clerical regime has executed nearly 3,973 prisoners, including 108 women.

According to the NCRI sources, in 2025 alone, more than 2,201 executions were recorded in Iran, more than double the number carried out in 2024 (1,006).

Amnesty International confirmed in its annual report that Iran’s ruling dictatorship carried out at least 2,159 executions in 2025, the highest documented annual execution rate worldwide since 1981.
