Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told a group of people in the housing industry last week that he’s open to supporting the House version of an embattled housing affordability package if it were to pass in the House and emerge as the most viable path towards a final bill, said three people familiar with the conversations who were granted anonymity to speak about private discussions. The House is expected to pass its bipartisan housing bill on Wednesday and send the legislation back to the Senate. The House bill would amend the Senate-passed 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act that received…

The Trump White House has a “really good template” for how lawmakers can write the “rules of the road” and create a national policy framework for AI, Build American AI’s executive director Nathan Leamer told Breitbart News during a recent policy event. Leamer, who leads the group focused on advocating for American leadership in AI, spoke about the importance of a national policy framework and why it is necessary, explaining that lawmakers must look to the past when crafting policy for the future. “The future of AI, [the] success of AI in America, depends on learning lessons from the past,” Leamer said…
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) recently fell under media scrutiny for praising the American branch of Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), a charity that the U.S. State Department, multiple banking institutions, and several other governments have severed ties with due to concerns of terrorism and antisemitism — but he also voted for a bill that funneled USAID money and other federal grants to the organization. The incumbent senator caught flak after Fox News reported this month that he had “repeatedly” voiced support for the international group’s wing based in the U.S., IRUSA — one of the Muslim organizations that provided funding to the…
Democratic district attorneys in major cities around the country are promising to prosecute federal agents suspected of attempting to intimidate people at polls during the midterms. A coalition of 10 district attorneys — including prosecutors in Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and Dallas — are vowing in an announcement expected Tuesday to investigate incidents of suspected voter intimidation by federal agents deployed at the behest of President Donald Trump. “A federal badge is not a license to violate the Constitution, and it is not a shield from state criminal law,” said Larry Krasner, district attorney of Philadelphia. “We will prosecute ICE agents who…
The epicenter of wokeism is crumbling, but the alphabet empire and its enablers are still clinging to life I’ve been back in my hometown of Vancouver, Canada, for a few days now. The big wall-to-wall news story has been about a moron who was speeding around on a jet ski in the harbor off the downtown coast where pods of whales have been swimming around – and ended up using a grey whale as a jump ramp. The whale seems no worse for wear, while the jackass crashed out. I can’t remember the last time that I’ve heard such mass outrage. This is…
Tech Billionaire Eric Schmidt is rejecting any immigration reforms that would help Americans cope with the mass layoffs being caused by Artificial Intelligence technology. “America is at its best when we are the country that ambitious people want to come to,” the tech-investor and political donor told graduates at the University of Arizona on Sunday as they booed his call for them to embrace AI: Choose equality. Choose a diversity of perspectives… including the perspective of the immigrant who has so often been the person who came to this country and made it better. “I can hear you, there is…
President Donald Trump attacked Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for campaigning for Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and called for someone to primary her. In a post on Truth Social, Trump asked if anyone was “interested in running” against Boebert, whom he labeled as “Weak Minded.” Trump wrote in his post: Is anyone interested in running against Weak Minded Lauren Boebert in Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District? You remember Lauren moved to the District when it became obvious that she couldn’t win in her original Congressional District (The Third!) — A Carpetbagger, indeed! Boebert is campaigning for the Worst ‘Republican’ Congressman in the History…
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — A federal court on Monday dismissed claims filed against OpenAI and its top executives by Elon Musk, who accused them of betraying a shared vision for it to guide artificial intelligence’s development as a nonprofit dedicated to humanity’s benefit. Musk, the world’s richest man, was a co-founder of OpenAI, the company that launched in 2015 and went on to create ChatGPT. After investing $38 million in its first years, Musk accused OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and his top deputy of shifting into a moneymaking mode behind his back. The nine-person jury found that Musk waited too…
A team of Finnish diving experts have located the four bodies of the Italian divers who recently died in an underwater cave in the Maldives. Officials confirmed the bodies had been found, CBS News reported Monday. A spokesman for the Maldives government, Ahmed Shaam, said “As was previously thought, the four bodies were found inside the cave, not only inside the cave but well inside the cave into the third segment of the cave, which is the largest part.” He added that crews are planning to recover the bodies over the next few days.
