This weekend in Rapid City, South Dakota, a life-size bronze statue of President Trump was officially unveiled as part of the “City of Presidents” project, a privately-funded art initiative that places full-sized statues of every U.S. president throughout downtown Rapid City. Trump takes his rightful place alongside Reagan, Coolidge, Taft, McKinley, Jefferson, Washington, and the rest. The statue was designed by South Dakota sculptor James Maher, and it captures Trump mid-speech. The statue, which was completed prior to Trump’s 2024 historic election victory, will be housed in the city’s Elks Theater over the summer before being installed permanently outdoors. “The…

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has ordered the Department of State to close the Office of Palestinian Affairs and merge it with the United States Embassy in Jerusalem, according to several reports. Tammy Bruce, a spokesperson with the Department of State, confirmed during a hearing that U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee would be taking “the steps necessary to implement the merger over the coming weeks,” according to CNN. “This decision will restore the first Trump term framework of a unified US diplomatic mission in Israel’s capital that reports to the US ambassador to Israel,” Bruce said. “Ambassador (Mike) Huckabee…
The Economy Throws the Fed a Curveball When the Federal Reserve officials last met in mid-March to decide on interest rates, they signaled hopes that the path of the economy would become clearer over time—giving them a solid perch from which to shape monetary policy. The economy had other plans. In the seven weeks since that meeting, every key indicator has thrown a curveball. Growth is down, inflation is down, jobs are up, imports are up, and markets are wobbling. Stocks were down a lot in April until they weren’t anymore and ended the month flat. The Fed isn’t any…
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) says it has officially saved over $1,000 per taxpayer. DOGE says its estimated total savings has now reached $165 billion. This is all a combination of “asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings, programmatic changes, regulatory savings, and workforce reductions,” according to the official DOGE website. However, that cost savings breaks down to $1,024.84 per taxpayer, and DOGE calculates that figure by accounting for approximately 161 million individual federal taxpayers in the U.S. Currently, DOGE’s “Wall of Receipts” lists 9,497 terminated contracts totaling $32 billion in…
Key Republican moderates said Tuesday they had grown more comfortable with a revised House GOP effort to overhaul Medicaid following an evening meeting with Speaker Mike Johnson and other leaders. Johnson needs to find near-unanimity among House Republicans as he finalizes the GOP megabill central to President Donald Trump’s agenda, and several of the centrists emerged from the closed-door huddle sounding closer to yes. The plan is centered around work requirements for beneficiaries, more frequent eligibility checks in the program and cracking down on coverage for noncitizens, they said. Meanwhile, some controversial changes the moderates had blanched at appear to…

Starmer may undo the cut of fuel subsidy for poor pensioners. Just between us: if Labour leader Keir Starmer had run in UK’s last General Elections with a platform of ‘cutting fuel subsidy for poor pensioners and releasing dangerous criminals from jail to make room’, he would never have achieved a landslide victory like he did. But once elected, among many scandals and in parallel to other deranged Globalist policies, that’s exactly what he did. Now, after getting crushed by Nigel Farage’s Reform UK in the latest local elections, Starmer is considering reinstating the winter fuel payment for thousands of…
A migrant in the United States illegally who was released under President Joe Biden has pleaded not guilty to murdering a woman in Georgia. As Breitbart News reported in March, 21-year-old David Hector Rivas-Sagastume, a Honduran national, was arrested for allegedly killing 52-year-old Camillia Williams, a mother of five and grandmother, in Cobb County, Georgia.
