A Laguna Beach, California, biological man who identifies as “transgender” has been arrested for murdering his own mother.

Angela Caprioli, 61, was found dead on Monday.

Laguna Beach police arrived at the home in the late morning and pronounced Caprioli deceased at the scene.

Authorities initially described the incident as suspicious and domestic in nature.

On Thursday, police arrested her son, Safford Wolfson, 36, on suspicion of murder.

Wolfson was booked into Orange County Jail.

Wolfson identifies as a “trans girl.”

The lunatic’s X account, @thewolf2501, describes him as a “Trans girl looking for fun in LA.”

His Instagram account, @schmavy, lists him as a “Professional smoker, trans girl extraordinaite.”

TikTok videos show Wolfson, who is morbidly obese, dancing in dresses, miniskirts, crop tops, and underwear.

In a 2024 Facebook post surfaced by the New York Post, Wolfson wrote, “Not even my mom wants to hang out with me man… talk about lame-o!”

Neighbors described Wolfson as reclusive, keeping to himself while occasionally stepping outside to smoke or play guitar.

Caregivers were reportedly present at the residence around the clock.

The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the Orange County Crime Lab.

No motive has been released, and the cause of death has not been publicly detailed.

This case is not isolated.

In recent years, there have been multiple cases of transgender individuals accused or convicted of killing their parents.

In 2016 in Winthrop, Maine, Andrea Balcer, who identified as transgender and went by Andrew at the time of the crime, stabbed both parents and the family dog to death.

Balcer was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

In June 2024, Mia Bailey, a biological man who identifies as a woman, fatally shot his parents, Joseph and Gail Bailey, in their Washington City, Utah home.

Bailey later told investigators he decided to kill them after his mother interfered with a planned gender transition surgery.

He also fired at her brother and his wife as they fled.

Bailey pleaded guilty and was sentenced in December to consecutive terms of 25 years to life for the murders, plus additional time for the attempted murder of her brother.

In February, 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, another transgender person, killed his mother and half-brother at their home in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada, before carrying out a mass shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School that left six others dead.

Van Rootselaar then took his own life.

The mother had previously posted online defending transgender rights.
