Police have made several charges against three young alleged perpetrators in a shocking assault on York College of Pennsylvania students that was caught on tape.

As The New York Post reported, York City Police have arrested and charged three juvenile girls following the horrific attack and mob assault near the college on W. Jackson Street in York.

York City Police Captain Daniel Lentz announced during a press conference on Friday that the charges against these girls “range from felony riot to misdemeanor simple assault, defiant trespass, and harassment.” The youths were not identified because of their ages.

Lentz also stated that police found no evidence of racial motivation from victims, suspects, or witnesses, so the incident is not being treated as a hate crime.

Despite the horrific nature of the attack, York County District Attorney Tim Barker said that the girls would be prosecuted through the juvenile justice system instead of as adults. However, he vowed they would face “serious consequences.”

“We absolutely will fully hold accountable the individuals that did this,” Barker said.

It’s not clear what these “serious consequences would entail, however.

The juvenile justice system, however, generally focuses on rehabilitation. There is generally an age-18 cutoff, and offenders are described as “adjudicated delinquents” rather than “guilty.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, video footage emerged the week showing a vicious crowd storming a female York College student’s front porch and attacking her. At the same time, she desperately tried to fight back. The incident occurred on September 12.

The thugs overpowered her and then dragged her out into the street, where she was savagely assaulted.

One thug also sprayed mace on the porch and other surface areas of the house.

The individuals not involved in the attack decided to stand around and film instead of trying to help the poor young woman.

The police failed to show up to help, even after the girl’s friends called 911 four times.

The cops finally arrived after the fifth call, but the beating was long over by then.

“We called the cops four times before anything even happened to us,” a student and friend of the victim explained to FOX 43.

“It was kind of disorganized (when the cops arrived),” She added. “They were set up on the street and were talking to us. I really don’t remember because it was a lot of things happening.”

The student and her roommates were assaulted during the incident as well. This included one young woman already recovering from a sports-related injury.
