President Trump on Friday responded to pro-amnesty RINO Rep. Maria Salazar after she released a video in front of the White House, trashing Trump’s immigration policies in hopes of appealing to Democrats in Florida.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Salazar gave an angry lecture to the President in a campaign ad, claiming that “50 percent of the 50,000 people that were detained had no criminal record.”
She further claimed that “the same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today.” In Salazar’s own telling, Hispanics did not vote for the signature mass deportation promise that Trump made.
“Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far,” she said in the ad, angrily waving her finger at the camera with a look of disgust for the President.

Now, Democrats and left-wing media are using the turncoat Congresswoman’s claims that half of the illegal aliens detained by ICE “had no criminal record” as a talking point against the Trump Administration and Republican candidates across the nation.
Salazar previously sought to quash the Trump Administration’s deportation efforts early on with the mass amnesty “Dignidad Act,” which would give amnesty via work visas and a permanent path to citizenship to “over 10 million people, or more,” who are here illegally.
But Trump on Friday said he still supports Salazar’s reelection to the House of Representatives.
“Look, I have a strong, a very strong—it’s a movement, my movement. It probably, at least partially, won the election,” the President said, noting that under Biden “25 million people poured in from prisons, from mental institutions, drug dealers, murderers,” including almost 12,000 documented murderers.
“She obviously doesn’t have a very strong feeling for the border, but I do, and I understand what she’s saying, but I have a very strong— I won because of my border,” Trump said.
Trump further noted that the only reason she was ever elected to Congress was his endorsement. Still, “I’m very strong on the borders, and she isn’t, and she’s a nice person,” he said.
“She got a little bit soft on the border,” Trump added. “I understand that. I understand that, but I just don’t happen to be there.”

Salazar, of course, waited until she secured the Republican nomination to publicly attack Trump and once again stab Republican voters in the back. She knows that Trump probably won’t pull his endorsement because she’s running against a Democrat in November.
