Cathy Engelbert won the lottery when University of Iowa guard Caitlin Clark entered the WNBA.

Clark the most prolific scorer in NCAA history and top assist leader was drafted number one by the Indianapolis Fever in 2024.

This was after Clark and Iowa set ALL-TIME women’s basketball audience records in the 2024 NCAA tournament. Clark garnered a larger audience than the NCAA men’s teams!

Caitlin Clark and Iowa Women’s Team Draw 4 Million More Viewers than Men’s NCAA Championship Game – But Ignorant WNBA ‘Stars’ Still Throw Shade at Clark – Jason Whitlock Weighs In

Iowa’s Caitlin Clark broke every record imaginable this year in women’s AND men’s basketball.

• D-I scoring leader (3,951 pts)
• only D-I player w/ 3,500 pts, 1,000 ast & 850 reb in a career
• most pts in single season in D-I WBB (1,234)
• most 3pt in single season in D-I hist (201)
• most pts (491), ast (152), 3pt (78) in NCAAT in career
• only player w/ 40 pts, 10 ast in NCAAT gm (she has 2)
• only player w/ 30+ pt trip-dbl in NCAAT
• only D-I player to led CBB in pts & ast in single season 2x
• B1G all-time ast leader (1,144)
• only player w/ > 3 career 25+ pt trip-dbl (she has 10)

Caitlin Clark also brought excitement to the game of women’s basketball – something unimaginable before she entered college.

WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert joined Caitlin Clark on the stage on the night of the WNBA draft.

Clark was drafted by the Indianapolis Fever, an organization like most women’s basketball organizations, that have NO IDEA how to treat a superstar and gernerational player.

In her first three years, Clark was beaten badly on live TV by jealous players and mean girls with half her talent.

The league did nothing when their star player was continually assaulted on the basketball court.

Super-star Clark was beaten so badly she sat out a major part of the season last year.

Engelbert did nothing to protect the leagues superstar – the one player that brought millions of viewers to the women’s league.

It was so bad that Congress wrote Engelbert to inquire about the multiple attacks on Caitlin Clark.

This year, Engelbert sat in the background as leftists in the league rallied around transitioning children and allowing men to play in the league.

Angry Lynx coach Reeves shows her support for so-called trans kids at Fever game.

Once again, Catherine Engelbert refused to make a stand.

Two NBA greats are ready to join the league.

Now the Chicago Sky is being sued by Enes Kantor Freedom after he was kicked out of a game for wearing a “Woman” T-shirt.

On Friday, Catherine Engelbert announced her retirement at the end of the season.

USA Today reported:

Cathy Engelbert is stepping down as WNBA commissioner, ending a polarizing tenure that saw the league grow exponentially under her watch but also raised questions about her ability to lead it through its era of increased scrutiny and attention.

Engelbert has informed the league of her decision to retire, effective at the end of this year, it was announced today by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

“Cathy has presided over the WNBA through the most significant period of growth in the league’s 30-year history,” said Silver. “We are grateful for Cathy’s leadership and unwavering commitment to the advancement of women’s basketball.”

What a horrible run. This was a good day for the WNBA.
