After a Decade Spewing Leftwing Nonsense, Nike Sees Its Stock Tank to 12-Year Low

Go woke, go broke? Just do it.

For the last decade or so, sneaker Nike spent so much time, effort, and money to push left-wing causes that it would be funny if it wasn’t so tragic.

So, eventually, the inevitable has happened: the company’s stock hit a 12-year low this week.

In his interesting Fox News article, Dan Zaksheske makes a pertinent disclaimer: the social justice debacle is not the only problem. There are newer competitors in the market, a general lack of excitement in the new products, and limited appetite by consumers to pay more for sneakers at this juncture.

But there’s no denying that Nike is starting to pay a hefty price for its relentless lecturing of the public with their nefarious ideas.

“From Colin Kaepernick to the Betsy Ross flag, Dylan Mulvaney and a study involving ‘transgender’ youth athletes that Nike quietly backed away from after OutKick exposed it, the company has built an impressive record of left-wing corporate activism.”

Add to that the fact that since February, it’s under investigation for alleged race discrimination against white employees and job applicants.

“Nike made its choice clear in 2018, when it put former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick at the center of its 30th-anniversary ‘Just Do It’ campaign. Nike decided he was the perfect guy to launch a campaign with the slogan, ‘Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything’.”

The backlash came hard: a lot of people burned products or swore off the company.

Naturally, the Globalist MSM loved them for that.

Nike fell 3.2% to $39.42, putting shares on track for their lowest close since September 2014.

The stock is now down 38% YTD, 5.5% in August, and nearly 78% from its 2021 all-time high.

In 2020, after George Floyd’s death, the company doubled down in the ‘BLM’ shenanigans.

By now, the left-wing propaganda had become its whole raison d’étre.

After ‘trans-influencer’ Dylan Mulvaney tanked Bud Light in the biggest consumer pushback in history, Nike would not be left behind and featured him in a paid Instagram promotion for women’s sports bras and leggings.

You can guess how well that went.

“This is where Nike’s activism went from poor marketing tactics to something much more serious. In April 2025, OutKick reported that evidence indicated Nike had helped fund a study involving ‘transgender’ youth athletes as young as 12. The proposed research was designed to track athletic and physiological changes among young people undergoing so-called ‘gender-affirming care’.”

This time, Nike blinked, tried to distance itself from it.

‘Trans-researcher’ Joanna Harper later said Nike had ‘pulled out’ because ‘haters got wind of it’.

So, is it surprising that the company’s stock is in the gutter?
