FBI Director Kash Patel is not wasting time holding corrupt actors accountable following yesterday’s bombshell news on agency spying under the Biden regime.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Joe Biden’s FBI – and later Jack Smith – spied on eight Republican Senators during the ‘Arctic Frost’ investigation into January 6.
Republican Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson earlier this year released new records detailing the FBI and DOJ’s sweeping investigation that formed the basis of Jack Smith’s DC case against President Trump.
According to the documents released earlier this year, the FBI and DOJ weaponized their power to target President Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence, and their allies through a probe dubbed “Arctic Frost.”
“Operation Arctic Frost” was a taxpayer-funded witch hunt launched in April 2022 that seized government-issued cell phones belonging to Trump and Pence while conducting a barrage of interviews across the country.
Now, we know Jack Smith tracked the private phone calls of eight GOP Senators: Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, and Tommy Tuberville of Alabama.
The Biden regime also spied on GOP Rep. Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania.
Following the news, Patel vowed to end the abuse of power.
“We recently uncovered proof that phone records of U.S. lawmakers were seized for political purposes,” He wrote on X. “That abuse of power ends now.”
“Under my leadership, the FBI will deliver truth and accountability, and never again be weaponized against the American people.”
True to his word, Patel announced on X this morning that he had undertaken several actions to clean up the FBI following Monday’s revelation.
These actions include firing employees, abolishing the CR-15 squad, and initiating an investigation.
“Transparency is important, and accountability is critical. We promised both, and this is what promises kept looks like,” Patel wrote. “This FBI is delivering.”
“As a result of our latest disclosure about the baseless monitoring of members of Congress by the prior leadership team of the FBI, we have already taken the following actions:
“We terminated employees, we abolished the weaponized CR-15 squad, and we initiated an ongoing investigation with more accountability measures ahead.”
