Trump to Release Damning Report Detailing ‘Shortcomings’ of Bureau of Labor Statistics After Biden Appointee Fired

The Trump Administration will release a damning report detailing the ‘shortcomings’ of the Bureau of Labor Statistics after President Trump fired the Biden-appointed commissioner, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Last month, President Trump fired the Biden-appointed Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) after she ‘faked’ the jobs numbers before the 2024 election to try to boost Kamala Harris’s chances of a victory.

Dr. Erika McEntarfer was promptly fired after an abysmal July jobs report. The US only added 73,000 jobs in July, and the previous months were all revised down.

“Nonfarm payrolls growth totaled 73,000 for July, above the June total of 14,000 but below even the meager Dow Jones estimate for a gain of 100,000,” CNBC reported.

“June and May totals were revised sharply lower, down by a combined 258,000 from previously announced levels,” the outlet reported.

Trump previously accused McEntarfer of rigging today’s jobs numbers in order to make him look bad.

“In my opinion, today’s Jobs Numbers were RIGGED in order to make the Republicans, and ME, look bad — Just like when they had three great days around the 2024 Presidential Election, and then, those numbers were “taken away” on November 15, 2024, right after the Election, when the Jobs Numbers were massively revised DOWNWARD, making a correction of over 818,000 Jobs — A TOTAL SCAM. Jerome “Too Late” Powell is no better! But, the good news is, our Country is doing GREAT!” Trump said last month.

President Trump later announced he nominated conservative economist Dr. E.J. Antoni as the next Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the Trump Administration is preparing a report on the BLS’s shortcomings and may release it in the next few weeks.

The Wall Street Journal reported:

Five weeks after President Trump fired the chief of the agency that gathers the country’s labor and price data, his advisers are preparing a report laying out alleged shortcomings of the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ jobs data, according to people familiar with the matter.

The report takes a critical look at the BLS and lays out a historical overview of the agency’s jobs-data revisions, they said.

The administration is considering publishing the study, written by the Council of Economic Advisers, in the coming weeks, according to these people.

It comes amid an unprecedented level of criticism by a presidential administration at what is normally seen as the routine, nonpartisan job of compiling crucial U.S. economic data.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were cooking the books the whole time and lying to the American people.

Last August, shortly before the presidential election, the Bureau of Labor Statistics did a massive downward revision of jobs AGAIN by up to 1 MILLION!

On Wednesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics will downward revise jobs for the April 2023-March 2024 period by up to 1 million. This means that all “beats” recorded in the past year will have been misses and the US job market is in far worse shape than the admin would admit.

According to Bloomberg, payrolls growth between April 2023 to March 2024 was up to 1 million weaker than previously reported.
