The DOJ asked the DBI for more Russia hoax documents after US Attorney General Pam Bondi ordered a prosecutor to present evidence to a grand jury.
On Monday, it was reported that US Attorney General Pam Bondi ordered an unnamed federal prosecutor to present evidence to a grand jury in the Russia collusion hoax in response to a criminal referral from DNI Tulsi Gabbard.
It is unclear if the grand jury has been impaneled yet.
On Tuesday, The Federalist reported that the Justice Department asked the ODNI for a “treasure trove” of documents related to the Russia hoax investigation.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has sent the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) a request for a treasure trove of documents related to the ongoing federal investigation into the Obama administration’s Russiagate operation, The Federalist has learned. According to a letter to ODNI senior adviser Paul McNamara, which was obtained by The Federalist, the DOJ has requested from ODNI a wide array of documents about the Obama administration’s 2016 and 2017 attempts to frame then-President-elect Donald Trump as an agent of Russia who stole the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton.
The request comes on the heels of the declassification and public release of records from late 2016 and 2017 which show how top intelligence and law enforcement officials — including former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former DNI James Clapper — conspired to fabricate a narrative that Russia meddled in the 2016 election in order to elect Trump. The declassified records showed that top intelligence experts objected to the narrative, highlighted myriad issues with the so-called intelligence used to support false claims about Trump, and even told Brennan that he was misrepresenting facts and ignoring counter-evidence as part of a push to attack Trump, cripple his transition, and even hijack his presidency.
Tulsi Gabbard confirmed The Federalist’s reporting later Tuesday.
“Per the president’s order and very specifically, they were tasked to create an intelligence assessment that detailed how Moscow tried to influence the election. Not if but how this was the beginning of the assessment that they knowingly wrote things in this assessment that were false,” Tulsi told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
“They knew it was false. They knew they were basing it on discredited intelligence or documents like the steel dossier that was politically motivated and that they knew was false,” Tulsi said.
“This was how they came up with the Russia hoax that was then weaponized and used to try to delegitimize President Trump and to try to ultimately enact this years-long coup throughout the four years of his administration,” she added.
