A suspect is now in custody more than 24 hours after an American Idol executive and her husband were found brutally murdered in their Los Angeles mansion.

According to The Daily Mail, the suspect was identified as 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian.

Police believe Boodarian acted alone.

CBS News also reported that a suspect connected to the brutal murders has been taken into custody.

As previously reported:

Robin Kaye, a music producer on the hit show ‘American Idol’ and her husband Thomas Deluca were both shot in the head.

Los Angeles police arrived to the couple’s home for a welfare check on Monday afternoon and neighbors hadn’t seen them in four days.

Police saw blood at the entrance of the house and discovered Thomas Deluca with a gunshot wound to the head. Robin Kaye’s body was found in a separate room.

According to TMZ, the police were called to the couple’s home last week after a (possibly armed) suspect tried to gain entry to the house.

“[Cops] were previously called to the home Thursday … an unidentified suspect was seen trying to gain entry and may have been armed with a firearm. Neighbors say someone spotted a person hopping a fence and called police … officers responded but found no signs of forced entry and searched the property before leaving. Its unclear if this incident is related to the homicides,” TMZ reported.

More from The Daily Mail on this breaking story:

A suspect has been arrested after an American Idol executive and her husband were found dead inside their $5million Los Angeles mansion.

Police arrested 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian on Tuesday following the grisly discovery of award winning music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband Thomas Deluca, both 70, on Monday afternoon.

Boodarian is not believed to have had any relationship with his alleged victims.

Police allege he was burglarizing the home on July 10 when the couple unexpectedly arrived home.

CCTV footage allegedly shows Boodarian entering the home about 30 minutes before the couple got home. He did not force entry, and instead found an open way to get inside.

He allegedly shot them both dead during a struggle when they caught him in the act. Police believe it was an isolated event, and that Boodarian acted alone.

Two calls were made to the LAPD about a possible burglary on the day of the couple’s deaths, but when officers responded they were unable to get inside because the home is ‘highly fortified’, ABC7 reported.
