One of the best strategies in dynasty fantasy football is building around a wide receiver. Unlike running backs, receivers have a very long shelf life and will play into their 30s. For running backs, typically, most are unstartable after 28.

Keep in mind this article was created before the NFL Draft, which is going to shake things up. However, it’s not going to affect the receivers in the same way it affects running backs.

Each NFL team starts at least two receivers at a time, with a lot of teams mixing in three wide receiver sets. Let’s dive into the three wide receivers that you should buy in dynasty fantasy football based off of Keep Trade Cut.

3 Wide Receivers To Buy In Dynasty Fantasy Football

Jauan Jennings
KTC Value: WR49

While Jauan Jennings isn’t as young at 27 years old, he’s not exactly aging out by any means. In 2024, Jennings had 14 PPG and his situation is only going to get better.

Even if you’re a rebuilding team, Jennings can still be a good buy. Instead of keeping Jennings around to score points in 2025, sell him after a few weeks once his value spikes up from his production.

Deebo Samuel is now traded and Brandon Aiyuk is going to be recovering from his season-ending injury. The only real competition Jennings has is Ricky Pearsall.

Keep in mind that the San Francisco 49ers were extremely banged up last year. With players like Christian McCaffrey back, this offense should kick into a new dimension, helping out Jennings.

If you can buy a player at WR49 prices who just finished as the WR24 (PPR) last year, that’s a great move.

Josh Downs
KTC Value: WR41

Josh Downs is such a good buy in dynasty fantasy football right now. By the way, Downs is being valued; you would have never guessed that he had 13.1 PPG (PPR) last year. He’s only 23 years old as well.

The main argument is that Anthony Richardson can’t support a wide receiver. While Richardson isn’t the best passer, Downs had two games over 18 points with Richardson and both of them missed time.

It’s not unrealistic to expect that as a former 4th overall pick, Richardson will take a leap in 2025, helping out Downs. If not, the Indianapolis Colts will likely replace him and Downs should likely get an upgrade in 2026.

Rashee Rice
KTC Value: WR17

The last player on this list is a bit pricey, but Rashee Rice is absolutely worth mentioning. The reason Rice is so low has nothing to do with him as a football player.

Rice has concerns surrounding his LCL injury which ended his 2024 season and a possible suspension. Rice was involved in a car crash and has a criminal case, but there are very few details.

If Rice does return in a timely manner, you’re getting a 24-year-old receiver who scored 17.3, 18.5 and 29.1 points in his first three games last year. This production didn’t come out of nowhere.

Rice was the Chiefs 55th overall pick (round two) in 2023 and he had an impressive 13.3 PPG as a rookie. There’s some risk with Rice, but if all goes well, you’ll get an elite receiver at a steep discount.
