WWE Raw after John Cena’s shocking heel turn.
WWE Raw advertised the fallout from John Cena’s heel turn at WWE Elimination Chamber on a show filled with footage from the Reactaverse across Twitch Streams worldwide.
Raw also advertised Lyra Valkyria vs. Ivy Nile for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and CM Punk appearing live. Punk cut an insanely good promo, addressing Cena’s heel turn and ultimately brawling with Seth Rollins. The War Raiders defended the WWE World Tag Team Championships against American Alpha in an excellent match. In Raw’s main event, Rhea Ripley defended the Raw Women’s Championship against Iyo Sky. In an upset, Iyo Sky shocked Rhea Ripley by dethroning Mami for the WWE Women’s World Championship.

CM Punk Buries The Rock And John Cena, Brawls With Seth Rollins
CM Punk cut a fiery, brilliant and profanity laced worked-shoot promo on The Rock and John Cena. Punk called them both “bald frauds.” Punk then turned his attention to Seth Rollins. After Rollins cost Punk the Elimination Chamber Saturday night, Punk name-dropped Becky Lynch and threatened to put him in a wheelchair.
Punk’s promo was shot similarly to MJF’s promo during his iconic worked-shoot promo in Inglewood against Tony Khan. CM Punk’s promo set up months of storytelling and potential matches with Seth Rollins, John Cena and potentially The Rock. MJF’s promo led to nothing.
Seth Rollins’ music hit, and it was immediately on sight. The two brawled through chants of “this is awesome!” and “holy s—t!” Punk and Rollins continued their brawl backstage as Jackie Redmond attempted to get an interview with Rollins.
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce set up a Steel Cage match for next week in Madison Square Garden. Fans in Buffalo booed because they thought they were getting the match. After Rollins made mention of taking out Roman Reigns, I fully expect Reigns to return in The Garden next week during that main event.
WWE Raw Opening Segment Grade: A+
GUNTHER Def. Otis
GUNTHER continued to run down comedy characters like Otis, whom he compared to Jey Uso. In a longer-than-usual build to WrestleMania, GUNTHER’s character has become a weekly eradicator of fun-loving gimmicks like Otis and Akira Tozawa. It’s been great to watch. Between Cena’s heel turn and GUNTHER’s hatred for comedy characters, R-Truth better watch his back.
Otis, like Tozawa last week, got a lot of offense on GUNTHER. The crowd got behind the potential of Otis winning, but Otis ultimately fell short.
As GUNTHER beat down a valiant Otis after his win, Jey Uso saved Alpha Academy member only to get beat down by Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.
GUNTHER vs. Otis Grade: B
Lyra Valkyria Def. Ivy Nile
This match seemed to get cut for time. Ivy Nile went on the offensive early, but Lyra Valkyria battled back with strikes.
After a flurry of offense from Nile, including a sitout powerbomb, Valkyria battled back and won with a Nightwing.
Lyra Valkyria vs. Ivy Nile Grade: C+
Penta Attacks Ludwig Kaiser
Ludwig Kaiser cut a long promo, but actually got heat while he was talking about what GUNTHER plans to do to Jey Uso at WrestleMania.
Penta interrupted Kaiser. Kaiser ran wild on Ludwig, punctuated by a dive to the outside on GUNTHER’s sidekick. With Kaiser and Dunne both at odds with Penta, now’s a perfect time or a tag team feud featuring Rey Fenix, who was rumored to be released from AEW.

The War Raiders Def. American Alpha
WWE aired a very intriguing vignette of Chad Gable on the streets looking for a guru to teach him the dark arts of Lucha. Gable met with a mysterious guru. The guru said that in order to battle Lucha, he must learn Lucha. The guru gave Gable a box.
It’s Ivar’s birthday today, and Ivar celebrated with a highly athletic roundoff in to a back elbow. It injected energy back into the arena as they hit a wall after a wild first hour-and-a-half.
I don’t know this as a fact, but this match’s finishing sequence alone set the record for most top-rope dives from a 230-pound wrestlers in Raw. This included a (missed) moonsault from Ivar, an effortless shooting-star press from Julius Creed and a 450 splash from Brutus.
The finish came with the WarMachine on Brutus. This Title Match had no business being this good after having to follow a white-hot first hour.
War Raiders vs. American Alpha Grade: A-
Bron Breakker Brawls With Finn Balor
Bron Breakker and Finn Balor went back-and-forth. Balor was in the ring, while Breakker was in the crowd conducting an interview alongside Jackie Redmond.
Breakker made the long walk to fight Balor, but was ambushed by the Judgment Day. The ambush immediately backfired as Breakker made quick work of Dominik Mysterio and Carlito.
Mysterio saved Balor from getting press-slammed, leading to a lot of heat in Buffalo, and Breakker Speared Carlito.

Iyo Sky Def. Rhea Ripley
Bianca Belair appeared on commentary. Earlier in the night, Belair noted she did not want to speak about the incident between Jade Cargill and Naomi inside the Elimination Chamber until she spoke with both parties. Suspicious.
There was no question that Rhea was the babyface for this match. Even as Michael Cole told the story of Iyo Sky being able to achieve her dreams in WWE, the fans were 100% behind Ripley. During a striking exchange, Sky was booed while Rhea received the “yeah!” treatment. I think fans were pulling for a Bianca-Rhea main event as much as they were cheering for Ripley.
Iyo paid tribute to her Damage CTRL cohorts with a Corner Kick, an Insane Elbow and an Asuka Lock. Back came Rhea, who folded Iyo with a German Superplex for a nearfall. “This is awesome” chants followed.
Despite Ripley being such a heavy favorite, these two main eventers worked very hard putting together a match that, at times, seemed like Iyo could win.
Bianca encouraged Iyo to beat the 10-count. Rhea felt some type of way, like Belair was favoring Sky. Rhea shoved Bianca. Bianca shoved back. Referee Jessika Carr broke them up. The women’s WrestleMania world title match seemed to be starting before Rhea even won this match.
“See you at Mania, Bianca!” said Ripley while preparing for a top-rope Riptide. Suddenly, Iyo Sky countered with a hurricanrana, followed by a Moonsault for the shocking win.
