So far, the season has been broken down into four chapters, each consisting of three episodes. Last week’s episodes included the horrific genocide of Ghorman, while tonight’s trio continues another year later, with Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) now serving as the leader of the Rebellion. Viewers will also finally learn how Cassian became part of the mission to steal the Death Star plans.

While it’s known that characters like Cassian, K-2SO, Mon, Davits Draven, and Ruescott Melshi will appear in Rogue One, what will be the fate of others introduced in the spinoff series, like Bix, Mon’s cousin Vel, Luthen Rael, and his assistant Kleya? Series star Diego Luna told The Hollywood Reporter that each season takes approximately two and a half years to produce, making it “impossible to keep the rigor, the attention to detail that we have in this show” for five seasons.
