Ironheart reintroduces fans to Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) following 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In the film, Shuri and Okoye (Letitia Wright and Danai Gurira) tracked down the teen prodigy after she created a device for detecting Vibranium. She was then put under Wakandan protection and built her own Iron Man suit of armor to help against Namor’s attack.

In the Marvel series, Williams is returning to her hometown of Chicago. “Riri’s going back to the heart of it all,” Thorne said in an interview with Den of Geek. “She’s going back home. She’s returned to Chicago, and our girl has a lot to reflect on. The events of Wakanda shook her up and expanded her worldview. Now she has to figure out what that all means, to have been at the center of something so insane.”

The official synopsis reads, “Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos) aka ‘The Hood.’”

She was ranked seventh in Marvel’s official list of the smartest superheroes, just after the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym (No. 6), and before X-Men’s Henry “Beast” McCoy (No. 8).

Ironheart will premiere at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on Tuesday, June 24, on Disney+.

How Many Episodes Will Be Released During The Ironheart Premiere?

Fans will be treated to more than one episode on June 24. The first three episodes will be available to stream during Tuesday evening’s premiere, while the remaining episodes will drop every Tuesday.
