Prime VideoThe hit Alan Ritchson series Reacher enters the second half of its season with Episode 5 this week.
Based on Persuader — the seventh book in author Lee Child’s Jack Reacher book series — Reacher Season 3 had a three-episode premiere on Feb. 20 on Prime Video and released Episode 4 on Feb. 27.
Note: Plot spoilers from the first four episodes of ‘Reacher’ will be discussed throughout the rest of this article.
In the series, Reacher (Ritchson) is working in tandem with Drug Enforcement Agency Agent Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy) to infiltrate what Duffy believes is a drug smuggling operation involving imported rug magnate Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall).
While Duffy is hoping Reacher can find the whereabouts of a confidential informant who has gone missing, the former Army Military Police investigator has his own motivation — to exact revenge on Xavier Quinn (Brian Tee), who is somehow tied to Beck.
Episode 4 is partially told in flashback, as Reacher painfully reveals how Quinn was involved in the murder of his close Army colleague, Dominique Kohl (Mariah Robinson), and recalls the circumstances that led to the unspeakable tragedy and how he feels responsible for it. Duffy, meanwhile, imparts guilty revelations about how her informant became involved with Beck’s operation.
Reacher, Season 3, Episode 4 will debut on Prime Video on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 3 a.m. ET/12 p.m. PT. You must be an Amazon member— which includes Prime Video— or subscribe separately to Prime Video to access Reacher Season 3 and its two previous seasons.
Amazon Prime is available for a $14.99 monthly subscription fee or a $139 yearly subscription. Viewers who want Prime Video only can subscribe to the service for $8.99 per month.
Whether Prime Video is accessed through Amazon membership or Prime Video-only membership, the programming comes with ads. Viewers, however, have the option to see the programming on the streamer ad-free on Prime Video for an extra $2.99 per month.

Since each Reacher season is based on a specific Jack Reacher novel by Lee Child and as such introduces new settings, characters and scenarios, Alan Ritchson’s Reacher is generally the only character to return for every new season, apart from his fellow Army MP investigator, Frances Neagley (Maria Sten).
The new cast for Reacher Season 3 includes Sonya Cassidy as Susan Duffy, who brings a no-nonsense and very blunt East Coast vernacular to the role of DEA Agent Susan Duffy.
In a Zoom conversation prior to the start of Reacher Season 3, Cassidy — who is from England — said she took learning her South Boston accent to bring Duffy to life very seriously.
“I live in London, so it was a little ways for me to travel, so I hung out with as many Bostonians as I could through the portal that is the internet and finding old interviews,” Cassidy explained. “There’s some great old Boston Globe interviews, like when Whitey Bulger was caught, and others with some old Boston longshoremen, who have got quite strong accents.
“I looked at those to get my muscles around the accent, to just hear it in a heightened form,” Cassidy further noted. “Then I worked with a dialect coach to soften the edges a bit. But, yeah, I watched as much as I could in order to absorb it.”
