The first major awards show of 2025 airs Sunday when stars of film and television are honored at the 82nd Annual Golden Globes.
Emilia Pérez leads all of the contenders in the film category with 10 nominations, while The Brutalist is vying for seven Golden Globes and Conclave is nominated for six. The Bear leads the television category with five nominations, while Only Murders in the Building and Shōgun are nominated for four Golden Globes apiece.
Comedian Nikki Glaser—who participated in The Roast of Tom Brady on Netflix in May— is hosting the 82nd Annual Golden Globes. The awards show is airing on CBS this year after decades of airing on NBC.
The 82nd Annual Golden Globes will begin airing live on Sunday at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET on CBS and stream on Paramount+ with Showtime in the U.S. and will be available for Paramount+ Essential subscribers on Monday.
In addition, Golden Globes organizers noted that Entertainment Tonight and Variety are partnering for a livestream of a digital pre-show Sunday. The pre-show—hosted by ET’s Rachel Smith and Variety’s Marc Malkin—will begin streaming at 3:30 p.m. PT / 6:30 p.m. ET across Variety and Penske Media platforms.
Glaser—an insult comic who participated in the blistering roast of Brady in May—told Yahoo! Entertainment on Thursday that celebrities attending the Hollywood bash need not fear they will be targeted with mean-spirited jokes.
“I’m not gonna go so hard that anyone’s gonna be offended,” Glaser told Yahoo! Entertainment. “I’ve made a point not to, and that’s not to disappoint anyone who’s hoping I’m going to pull a Ricky Gervais. I’m not Ricky Gervais. This isn’t my last Golden Globes, this is my first one. He really went hard on his last one. He was ready to burn some bridges [because] it didn’t matter anymore.”
One area Glaser promised not to touch is the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni It Ends with Us feud.
“I think the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni thing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things, even though I would never be,” Glaser told Yahoo! Entertainment. “I also don’t want to give his name any—I’m mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don’t need to say it anymore.”
