Some of the biggest names in music are headed to the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Memorial Day. This year, the AMAs will honor U.S. troops and veterans through performances, according to CBS News.
Jennifer Lopez is returning to host the fan-voted award show for the second time, having previously hosted in 2015. The AMAs “has been such a big part of my music journey and history,” the singer told USA TODAY ahead of Monday’s ceremony. She will also perform at the start of the show and teased that her set is “going to celebrate the year in music.”
Kendrick Lamar leads the 2025 American Music Award nominations with 10 nods, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. He’s followed by Post Malone, who secured eight nominations, while Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey each earned seven. First-time nominees include Doechii, Jelly Roll, and Tommy Richman.
Taylor Swift, the most-awarded artist in AMAs history, is nominated in six categories this year, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Favorite Touring Artist, Favorite Female Pop Artist, and Favorite Pop Album. It’s unknown whether she’ll attend, as she has recently skipped several public events she was invited to, including the iHeartRadio Music Awards and the Met Gala.

How To Watch The American Music Awards On Cable
The 2025 American Music Awards will air live on CBS. If you don’t have cable, you can sign up for a live TV streaming service that carries the network, such as DirecTV Stream, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, YouTube TV and more. All four sites are currently offering free trials.
How To Watch The American Music Awards On Streaming
The AMAs will also stream live on Paramount+ with Showtime. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not be able to watch the show live, but the ceremony will be available to stream starting Tuesday, May 27.
The Paramount+ with Showtime plan costs $12.99/month (or $119.99/year), while the Paramount+ Essential plan is $7.99/month (or $59.99/year). New subscribers can watch the award show for free by using the platform’s one-week free trial.
