President Trump spoke to reporters in a rare press conference outside the Oval Office on Tuesday after meeting with Speaker Mike Johnson and tech and AI executives.
Earlier, Trump had participated in an announcement about his new AI website, America.gov, to help Americans navigate the federal government.
The new tool allows Americans to easily access every government agency in one place, with artificial intelligence that makes it possible for previously hours-long tasks, like changing one’s last name, to be completed in minutes.
Trump highlighted the ease of changing one’s last name and securing proper identification, arguing it takes away the “number one excuse” for not passing the SAVE America Act.

Later, while speaking to reporters at the White House with Elon Musk, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Mark Zuckerberg, and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Trump expanded on his plans for artificial intelligence and America.gov and nuked a CNN reporter who asked about AI guardrails.
“Do you think that self-policing is an option?” she asked, regarding AI companies having their own guardrails to prevent abuse. “Hold it, hold it,” Trump responded, prompting the reporter to apologize.
“CNN fake news,” he said before turning to Dario Amodei and saying, “She’s fake news, CNN, the worst!”

This comes amid Trump’s ongoing feud with CNN after kicking them out of the White House earlier this month, then later banning them from accessing Air Force One.
