WATCH: Terrifying Moment Deck COLLAPSES Beneath U.S. Marshals During Missouri Raid on Convicted Sex Offender — Nine Officers Plunge to Ground

Stunning body-camera footage captured the moment a second-story wooden deck collapsed beneath a U.S. Marshals task force as officers attempted to arrest a convicted sex offender in Missouri.

The incident occurred on July 21 in Huntsville as federal and local officers approached an apartment to serve a high-risk arrest warrant on 26-year-old Jacob Alexander Munoz, AP reported.

Munoz, a convicted child pornography offender, was wanted for allegedly failing to comply with sex-offender registration requirements and no longer reporting to his parole officer.

The officers were participating in Operation Adam’s Watch, a nationwide U.S. Marshals initiative targeting fugitive sex offenders and offenders who failed to register their addresses.

The dramatic footage shows nine heavily armed officers standing outside the second-floor apartment when the deck suddenly gives way beneath their feet.

In a matter of seconds, the task force plunges to the ground in a pile of broken boards and debris.

Miraculously, none of the officers’ weapons discharged during the violent fall.

Seven officers, including four deputy U.S. Marshals, were treated for injuries associated with the serious fall. The injuries reportedly included broken bones, torn muscles, and concussions, but none were considered life-threatening.

“Everyone is doing well and some have a longer road to recovery than others,” the Justice Department told Live Now Fox. “We expect some long-term effects of this incident … but nothing that will keep them from continuing the mission of the USMS.”

“When I saw that video and at the scene saw the length of decking that had collapsed, it’s a miracle they weren’t more seriously injured,” U.S. Marshal Steven Lewis told NBC News.

U.S. Marshals Assistant Chief James Tapp credited the officers’ “training and discipline” for preventing an accidental discharge as the armed task force crashed through the structure.

Munoz was reportedly not inside the apartment when officers arrived. He was taken into custody later that day, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. AP reported that all injured officers were eventually treated and released.

Operation Adam’s Watch was conducted in recognition of the 20th anniversary of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act. The operation was named after six-year-old Adam Walsh, whose 1981 abduction and murder helped launch a nationwide movement to protect children from sexual predators.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, the multiweek operation resulted in the arrests of more than 330 fugitives wanted for failing to register as sex offenders, sexual assault, and other sex crimes.

That included 234 fugitives wanted on state failure-to-register charges and 96 offenders wanted for sexual assault or other sex-related offenses.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that the U.S. Marshals captured 833 fugitives during Operation North Star II, including violent criminals, sex offenders, and gang members across ten American cities.

The harrowing Missouri footage is another reminder of the dangers law enforcement officers face while hunting dangerous fugitives and convicted predators.

While radical anti-police activists routinely smear the men and women wearing the badge, these officers were risking their lives to ensure that a convicted sex offender could not simply disappear into an American community.
