After the final season of “Yellowstone” dropped in December 2024, many fans may be feeling lonesome without seeing the Duttons every week.
If you miss delving into Taylor Sheridan’s universe, you can find several ranch life experiences in and around Oklahoma.
A short drive away, Oklahomans can visit the real-life 6666 Ranch (pronounced Four Sixes) in Texas, which is referenced in the fictional world of “Yellowstone.” The ranch is only about two hours southwest of the Oklahoma border, and offers tours to the public.
But if you don’t want to drive down to Texas, there are several guest ranches in Oklahoma that you can visit, stay at, and enjoy a glimpse of the ranch lifestyle.
The StoneWood Ranch
The StoneWood Ranch in Wynnewood offers various ranch experiences, including horses, hunting, and a home theatre. The Guest Ranch is also open to groups, weddings and conferences, allowing several people to enjoy the land at once.
StoneWood is built on the South Oklahoman plains and overlooks the heart of the Chickasaw nation.
Cottonwood Creek Ranch
If horses are a major priority in your ranch fantasy, Cottonwood Creek Ranch aims to serve new and experienced equestrians. The Oklahoma City ranch has 50 stalls and a roughly half-acre outdoor arena. It is located in Royal Oaks on N Chisholm Rd.
They provide horseback riding lessons to individuals of all ages regardless of ability.
Rebel Hill Guest Ranch
Rebel Hill is a fourth-generation horse and cattle ranch in the state’s Southwest corner. The ranch may have the traditional animals you find at other ranches, and any animal is bound to find one for them. The ranch’s exotic wildlife park has bunnies, tortoises, lemurs, zebras and more.
Staying overnight at the Ranch also offers multiple options for families or groups, with seven different cabins to sleep up to 10 guests.
Dos Equis (XX) Ranch
Dos Equis Ranch has a mix of on-land and in-water activities to do across 1,155 acres, two clear spring creeks and space to fish and swim. Both of their cabins come with several private ponds for guest fishing.
In addition, the property allows for 4-wheeler rides, on your own or renting from the property, and hiking throughout the grounds. If you’re a horse owner, you can bring your horse to the property if they have a current ‘Coggin’s Test.’
Croton Creek Guest Ranch
Croton Creek blends the enjoyment of horse riding and gun ranges for families, group events or large retreats. The property has 3 different lodging areas, with some hosting upwards of 20 rooms.
Waking up on the ranch, you can enjoy a day of horse riding, shooting at the wing shooting lodge or hiking throughout the grounds.
