President Trump on Tuesday slammed Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) during a press conference when he was asked by Real America’s Voice correspondent Brian Glenn about the federal mortgage fraud investigation and a potential grand jury indictment for the Senator.
Trump declined to comment on reports of a grand jury in the Schiff case, deferring to Attorney General Pam Bondi, who also declined to comment.
But Trump did take aim at Schiff, calling him a “horrible human being” and a “very dishonest person,” adding, “I can only tell you, he’s a very bad– I think he’s actually a sick person.”
“Adam Schiff is one of the lowest forms of scum I’ve ever dealt with in politics,” Trump said. “By the way, I hope it’s true, but I don’t know anything about that.”
The whole room burst into laughter.

Glenn: There’s reports that there’s a grand jury on Adam Schiff for apparent mortgage fraud. If he is indicted, should he step down as a US senator?
Trump: Well, you know, I’m not going to comment on that. I would just say Adam Schiff is one of the lowest forms of scum I’ve ever dealt with in politics. He’s a horrible human being, a very dishonest person. I have no idea what’s going on. You’re telling me that he’s going to be indicted. I don’t know. You could ask Pam. I don’t know if she she could say it. Probably, you are allowed to say it, but I would know about that. I can only tell you, he’s a very bad– I think he’s actually a sick person…
I don’t know. By the way, I hope it’s true, but I don’t know anything about that.
Trump has previously called for Schiff’s prosecution after Housing Director Bill Pulte criminally referred Schiff to the DOJ, accusing him of falsifying bank documents and property records over a period of 16 years in order to secure more favorable mortgage terms and rates.
“Adam Schiff is a THIEF! He should be prosecuted, just like they tried to prosecute me, and everyone else — The only difference is, WE WERE TOTALLY INNOCENT, IT WAS ALL A GIANT HOAX!” President Trump said on Truth Social with a photo of a fraudulent affidavit signed by Schiff, declaring that the California lawmaker’s primary residence is in Maryland.
However, deep State prosecutors in Maryland are now defending Schiff with leaks to the media about an alleged meeting with Deputy Attorney Todd Blanche, claiming that U.S. Attorney Kelly Hayes discouraged an indictment.
Blanche denied that the meeting ever took place and that Hayes ever argued against prosecuting Schiff.
“Excited to hear more about this made-up meeting! Also, unequivocally: U.S. Attorney Hayes has told me no such thing,” Blanche said.
