Oct. 11—Deidre Sandvick has been appointed as the University of New Mexico Foundation’s vice president for development.
For the last 16 years, Sandvick has worked for the University of Oregon’s advancement team, leaving as associate vice president of development. She oversaw the fundraising teams for all academic schools and colleges, two museums and other university groups.
She will be tasked with continuing UNM’s fundraising efforts, which exceed $100 million annually.
“Deidre impressed everyone she met at the foundation and within the university,” said Jeffrey Todd, the president and CEO of the UNM Foundation. “She has demonstrated a strong ability to collaborate with our development leadership, team and university leaders to accelerate philanthropy by advancing best practices and connecting our stakeholders’ passions with the University’s aspirations.”
