KINGSTON – New York State Police said a man and a woman in Kingston are accused of possessing and promoting child pornography.
State police said their investigation began last October when they received a tip from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children.
The investigation determined John F. Boyle and Danielle F. Scofield, both 33 and from Kingston, were exchanging indecent material involving minors online.
Boyle and Scofield were charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17, possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16 and possessing a sexual performance by a child less than 16, all felonies. Boyle also was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17, also a felony.

They were arraigned in City of Kingston Court on Tuesday and released on $200,000 bond apiece. They are scheduled to appear in Town of Ulster Court on April 15.
The names of their attorneys were not immediately available.
