PORT ST. LUCIE − Two arrests were made following a reported weekend home invasion robbery in which about $10,000 in cash and other items were stolen, according to Port St. Lucie Police on Monday.
Fredericka Storr, 27, of Vero Beach, and Fort Pierce resident Quentin Quarterman, 26, were held in the Indian River County Jail Monday after Indian River sheriff’s investigators found them at a home in their jurisdiction, according to officials.
The case began about 11:40 p.m. Saturday when Port St. Lucie Police went to a home in the 400 block of Southwest Meadow Terrace, police stated. The location is east of Southwest Bayshore Boulevard and south of Crosstown Parkway.
Two people at the home reported being tied up and robbed at gunpoint by two people known to them. Police reported Storr is the ex-girlfriend of one of the victims.
“Stolen during the home invasion robbery were Pokémon cards, a small amount of marijuana and around $10,000 cash,” police stated in a release. “The suspects fled the scene in a Toyota Yaris registered to one of the suspects prior to the arrival of police.”
The two reported victims wound up freeing themselves and went to a neighbor’s home where they called 911.
A be-on-the-lookout bulletin was sent to other law enforcement agencies, and early Sunday Indian River County sheriff’s deputies found Storr and Quarterman in a vehicle at a residence.
Sgt. Dominick Mesiti, Port St. Lucie Police spokesperson, on Monday described the situation as a “targeted incident.”
He said the $10,000 in cash appears to be legitimate proceeds from a business in Fort Pierce.
Storr and Quarterman each faces charges of home invasion robbery with a firearm and false imprisonment. Storr faces additional charges of criminal mischief and hindering communication with 911.
