President Trump on Tuesday morning slammed French President Emmanuel Macron for claiming that Trump was returning to Washington, DC last night to negotiate a ceasefire, clarifying his intent to end the war completely on Tuesday.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump made an early departure from the G7 Summit in Canada on Monday evening. This came after he abruptly said on Truth Social, “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”

The President told reporters early Tuesday, “I just want people to be safe,” dismissing the idea that it was a threat when asked about his calls to evacuate Tehran.

Emmanuel Macron reportedly told reporters on Monday, “There is indeed an offer to meet and exchange. An offer was made especially to get a ceasefire and to then kick-start broader discussions.”

“Wrong!” President Trump said in a statement, adding, “Emmanuel always gets it wrong. Stay Tuned!

Publicity seeking President Emmanuel Macron, of France, mistakenly said that I left the G7 Summit, in Canada, to go back to D.C. to work on a “cease fire” between Israel and Iran. Wrong! He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Cease Fire. Much bigger than that. Whether purposely or not, Emmanuel always gets it wrong. Stay Tuned!

The President arrived at the White House at approximately 6 am ET.

He spoke to reporters on Air Force One en route from Calgary, Canada, to Joint Base Andrews for approximately 12 minutes, where he said he’s looking for “a real end, not a ceasefire.”

He further signaled that he may send VP JD Vance and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to meet with Iranian leaders, but it “depends on what happens when I get back.”

Trump has come under recent fire over speculation that he may send troops into the conflict or continue giving Israel full military support in their war.

This is a developing story.
